'Bliss' was one of the albums I recorded in the late 1970s, and I sold copies of it at various meditation retreats and New Age shops in California around that time.

It was always a work in progress - like many of my works back then, I would dub a version of it, sell a few cassettes, and then go back and rework it as my skills improved (and as I was able to afford better equipment).

This version of 'Bliss' features some of the treatments I added during the early 1980s, but it gives a good idea of what some of my late 1970's/early 1980s meditative works were like.

I have, however, replaced the awful original cover, which hasn't aged well. Thanks to Mike Erskine at Unsplash for the new image.

A little by-the-by: the raw tapes of 'Bliss' were part of the package of contributions I sent over to English musician riverrun (aka Daniel Land), who then reworked and added parts to them for some of the tracks on our collaborative album 'Southernmost'. So there might be a handful of familiar moments in here.
